Brief History

Christian Industrial Training Centre ( CITC) – Nairobi was started in 1958 by Anglican Church of Kenya to equip disadvantaged youth from the nearby Majengo slum with vocational skills and cultivate in them a good character and attitude for honest living. It is still located at its founding location at Pumwani area. Since inception, CITC has produced over 22,000 graduates in engineering and various vocational trades.  

CITC Nairobi has been registered under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as MOHEST/PC/1199/09 (previously MTAT/PC/261/92). The college is also recognized as an examination centre under Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). CITC hall mark has been highly skilled and competent technicians in both gainful and self-employment thus contributing greatly to socio-economic development of the society as a whole.
